Evan Gets Out of the House: The Roots at the Avalon, 8/7

I don't proclaim to be an extreme hip hop enthusiast (unless you consider knowing all the words to that Positive K song to be extreme), but I do know that I am excited to go see the Roots at the Avalon in early August. Since they're more of a band than a jostling MC marching around onstage amidst his cronies, I'm anticipating a very entertaining musical revue from these 10+ year veterans of the industry. I imagine they'll be playing at least half of their new upcoming album, "Game Theory", but I also hope they dig for some old stuff as well. Just so you know, if they start into "100% Dundee" I'll be the white boy raising the roof in front of you. Along with Talib Kweli, who has put out some great stuff in the past even if he's going through a mild slump these days, I've got a show to look forward to in August. It certainly beats sweating on a couch listening to the Sox lose to Kansas City!
By the way, I don't know why I should cough up $135 for Bjork's box set when I can get her back catalog for $37.14. Is the $97+ extra to solely get the 5.1 surround sound for each album? I don't think my discman has that option...
