Short, Dissatisfied Review of Cobra Starship

Cobra Starship, out with its latest album "While the City Sleeps, We Rule the Streets," has still gotta be partying hard after their inclusion on the "Snakes on a Plane" soundtrack with the tune "Bring It (Snakes on a Plane)".  Although I regretfully have not seen the movie yet, I can already hear that song during the credits after an exciting conclusion.  It's a good upbeat song about snakes that unfortunately includes some sort of spoken word rap in the middle, but it's not particularly memorable.  That about sums up the rest of this album in regards to the strength of its musical longevity, but do not mistake quality for unentertaining!  Anyone picking up this album will be happy to groove to blithely uplifting "The Church of Hot Addiction" and "Pop-Punk is Sooooo '05," and it'd be hard to label these guys anything but energetically catchy.  However, like most ice cream shops that replace the Rum Raisin with the Rocky Road next month, it's likely that you'll be moving on after a few listens as these guys sound like they'll be replaced by a new flavor soon, if not already.

probably already...from your observations, it sounds like they were trying to replace the Darkeness, with little success. Because the Darkness are still awesome.

Haha, true! There's no way the Cobra can top that falsetto anyway, so they shouldn't have even tried.
