And I thought Audioslave was bad...
...Audioslave is flawless compared to the mediocre horror that is Chris Cornell's "Carry On."
I love Soundgarden, and I still have my "Singles" soundtrack on heavy rotation some 13 years later (oh my god, has it been that long??). It pains me to say that this CD is bad.
But it is. Cornell's voice sounds perilously thin in places, and the flimsy, boring lyrics do nothing to support it. If you're interested in hearing the best of a bad lot, download "Poison Eye" or "Finally Forever." They're rote middle-of-the-road alterna-tracks, but it's where Cornell's voice sounds the strongest.
Or, if you're interested in hearing the worst, check out the cover of "Billie Jean." Yes, the Michael Jackson song. I will not even get into it, but suffice it to say that it is one of the worst things I've heard all year.
I think I'll go listen to "Sunshower."
